Turkish Airlines: route launch events across three African markets

3
African market route launch events
Exceptional professionalism and commitment. The Newmark team made our inaugural East African launch a genuine success that exceeded every expectation.
The Challenge
Turkish Airlines required a partner capable of executing high-quality route launch events in three distinct African markets simultaneously. Each market — Guinea Conakry, Seychelles, and Zanzibar — presented different logistical, cultural, and stakeholder environments.
The events needed to establish Turkish Airlines' presence in each market with the authority and quality that the brand demanded, while being genuinely resonant with local stakeholders, media, and travel trade partners.
Our Approach
Newmark mapped the stakeholder landscape in each market — identifying the government, travel trade, media, and community relationships that would determine the success of each launch.
Event programmes were designed to introduce Turkish Airlines to each market in a way that was locally meaningful, building relationships that would outlast the launch event itself.
Execution
Three simultaneous route launch events were planned and executed across Guinea Conakry, Seychelles, and Zanzibar.
Local stakeholder engagement, government relations, travel trade partnerships, and media strategy were managed in each market. Event production, logistics, and on-ground coordination were handled end-to-end by Newmark's regional team.
Results
All three route launches were executed successfully, with strong attendance from government, travel trade, and media stakeholders in each market.
The events established Turkish Airlines' presence in three new African markets with the quality and credibility that the brand required — and produced ongoing relationships with the key stakeholders who would drive passenger growth in each market.
